  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (preferably Japanese style)
  • 8 oz imitation crab meat (or real crab)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 4 nori sheets, cut into strips
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until it runs clear. Cook according to package instructions (about 15 minutes). Mix in rice vinegar after cooking and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine imitation crab meat, mayonnaise, green onions, and sriracha sauce. Mix until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the cooled sushi rice evenly in a greased baking dish.
  4. Layer the crab mixture over the rice and sprinkle cheese on top if using.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving with nori strips.
