  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin spice blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin spice blend, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before slicing into squares.
