  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream/yogurt until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
