Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until just melted. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add molasses and eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
