  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Swirl gently.
  4. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Use a knife to create swirls.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Once cooled slightly, poke holes throughout the cake using a wooden spoon handle.
  7. For the glaze, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth; drizzle over warm cake.
  8. Allow to cool completely before serving.
