  • 1 lb frozen crinkle-cut French fries
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (lean)
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) chili beans, drained
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen fries on a lined baking sheet and bake until golden brown (about 25-30 minutes).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat, drain fat if needed. Stir in chili powder, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the drained chili beans to the meat mixture and simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the baked fries on a serving platter, spoon half of the chili mixture on top, followed by half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Return to oven until cheese melts (about 3-5 minutes).
  6. Top with optional sour cream and jalapeños before serving.
