  • 4 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • ½ cup sliced pickles
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped onions (sweet preferred)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add chopped onions, garlic powder, and onion powder during the last two minutes of cooking; sauté until fragrant.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, and a pinch of garlic powder to create the special sauce.
