  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the brownie layer, melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. Stir in granulated and brown sugars, then add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with sugars until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  4. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan; drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over it.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before lifting out.
