Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and red food coloring.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist.
  7. While cooling, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Frost cooled brownies generously with cream cheese mixture before slicing.
