Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using a homemade crust, roll it out and fit it into your pie dish; prick holes in the bottom with a fork.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter in short bursts of 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the heavy cream and vanilla extract while whisking continuously.
  5. Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool before slicing.
