  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon pickling salt
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until dissolved and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; add minced garlic and dill.
  4. Pack green beans vertically into sterilized jars.
  5. Pour hot brine over beans until submerged, leaving ½ inch headspace.
  6. Seal jars tightly and let sit in the fridge for at least one week before enjoying.
