  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Slice the potatoes uniformly to about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish; pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top. Repeat for a second layer.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, add remaining cheese, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
