  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or macaroni)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (basil or parsley), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Drain the cooked pasta, reserving some cooking water. Add the pasta to the skillet with garlic butter.
  4. Toss in grated Parmesan cheese along with salt and pepper. Stir well, adding reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped herbs on top before serving.
